Terms of Use — HouseKeep

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the HouseKeep mobile application ("HouseKeep", "the App"). By installing or using HouseKeep, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Provider

HouseKeep is provided by David Rubio Mota ("we", "us"), located at Calle Calderón de la Barca 7, Rubí, 08191 Barcelona, Spain. Contact: darumo092@gmail.com.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use HouseKeep on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code, except where local law expressly permits.
• Resell, rent, lease, lend, or sublicense HouseKeep.
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices.
• Use HouseKeep to break any law or to infringe anyone's rights.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you enter into HouseKeep — items, documents, photos, notes ("Your Content"). Your Content is stored locally on your device. We do not access, transmit, or use Your Content.

You are solely responsible for backing up Your Content. Uninstalling HouseKeep permanently deletes it.

4. In-app purchase — Pro upgrade

HouseKeep is free to install with limits (5 items, 3 documents). You may purchase the Pro upgrade as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase to unlock unlimited items and documents, the home-screen widget, multiple notification reminders, and premium templates.

• The purchase is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play under their respective terms.
• The Pro entitlement is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, not to a HouseKeep account.
• Refunds are handled by the platform that processed the purchase (Apple / Google). We cannot directly refund you. To request a refund:

• If you reinstall HouseKeep or change device, use the "Restore Purchase" button on the paywall.

We may change the Pro price for new purchases at any time. Existing purchases are not affected.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

HouseKeep is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

• HouseKeep will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• Notifications will fire on time (your OS controls scheduling).
• Maintenance templates reflect the requirements of your specific appliance or jurisdiction.
• Document expiry alerts are accurate (you must verify dates with the issuing authority).

HouseKeep is a personal organisation tool, not professional advice. Always verify critical dates and maintenance requirements with the relevant manufacturer, authority, or professional.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall David Rubio Mota, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of HouseKeep — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of HouseKeep shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro upgrade (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. for fraud, gross negligence, or personal injury caused by negligence).

7. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use HouseKeep. You may terminate by uninstalling. We may terminate or suspend your licence if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 5, 6, 8, 9 survive termination.

8. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of HouseKeep at any time. We may update these Terms; if changes are material we will update the "Last updated" date and, where possible, notify you inside the App. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Spain, except where mandatory consumer law grants you the right to a different forum.
